Stretch Marks/Scars Removal

Lumenis M22™

Lumenis M22™ IPL is the latest IPL treatment device introduced by Luminous, a long-established American company with extensive IPL research experience. M22 works by irradiating the skin with intense pulsed light (IPL) that hits melanin and capillaries, converting the light energy into heat. m22 can repair minor epidermal tears caused by pregnancy and can also lighten the pigmentation left by stretch marks.

About stretch marks and C-section scar
What are stretch marks and C-section scar look like?

During pregnancy, the belly gradually increases in size to accommodate the growth of the fetus, and the skin becomes thinner and thinner. The skin is made up of epidermis, dermis, and subcutaneous tissue. When a mother’s abdomen is rapidly expanded during pregnancy, the epidermis and dermis generally have enough elasticity to match, but the subcutaneous tissue may not be able to keep up with the speed of skin expansion, and if the collagen fibres contained in the subcutaneous tissue break because they cannot withstand the expansion, the integrity of the skin will be destroyed and stretch marks will appear.

C-section scars are either transverse or straight, depending on the individual’s condition. The wound is usually about 15 cm, white or off-white in colour with a smooth and hard feeling when touching it. About 2-3 weeks after the surgical incision is scarred, the scar will begin to proliferate, become locally red, purple, harden and protrude from the surface skin, and in rare cases will gradually expand and worsen.

About Lumenis M22™
What Is IPL, Intense Pulsed Light

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment uses a beam of light with a specific wavelength that blocks harmful ultraviolet rays, similar to a camera flash. IPL is irradiated at a frequency measured in milliseconds and has a longer wavelength than a regular laser, making it a powerful and stable treatment, especially for superficial spots and various skin problems. There is little redness or heat after irradiation.
