Yoga is a system that helps humans reach their potential by raising awareness. Yoga was practiced in 300 B.C. and continues today for thousands of years. It is a slow, comfortable movement that improves the body’s physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects, allowing for mental and spiritual harmony and unity.
Breathing exercises help reduce the shortness of breath during pregnancy and the contractions that occur during labour. Mild stretching helps to increase muscle strength, flexibility, and persistence. Prenatal yoga also allows for mental relaxation and a state of self-awareness and calmness. It allows pregnant women to accept their changing bodies, strengthen the bond between fetus and mother, and improve prenatal sleep, stress, and anxiety.
